1964 Comfort Control Power Servos & Transducers - Feedback on Rebuilding

I often receive requests for good 1964 AC Heat Comfort Control Power Servo’s and/or Transducers. I currently have 6 Power Servos and 3 transducers and all leak down with the vacuum pump.  Some look nicer, cleaner than others in terms of the resistors and electronics/circuit board on the power servo but again all leak down.

I noticed that Caddy Daddy sells the Power Servo refurbished for $385 with a $175 core charge.  They do not list the transducer ... as far as I can tell.

I believe Cadillac Tim (Tim Groves) rebuilds/refurbishes both power servo and transducer from looking at his website (www.cadillactim.com) and from memory.

My question is does anyone have experience with a rebuilt power servos and/or transducers and who was your source, turn around time, price etc.

Just to note:

My price for a Power Servo Core to customers is $80 ($60 with Chapter Discount).
My price for a Transducer Core to customers is $60 ($45 with Chapter Discount).

I would appreciate any feedback.

Jason.

Tim repaired the circuitry and replaced the diaphragm in my power servo. It wasn’t leaking but figured it would be a good idea to replace the sixty year old rubber while he had it.

Good call. Those 60+ year old rubber diaphragms are a tear waiting to happen!

1963 RHS A/C kick panel - photos needed

Posted by SK on June 2, 2025 at 2:20pm 2 Comments

Could someone post front and back photos of the 1963 right-hand kick panel with A/C?

My car didn’t come with the original kick panels, so it's a bit of a mystery to me how I should cut the backing board and carpet to fit around the A/C.

Many thanks,

-Samu

Loud air moving sound within carb with cleaner removed

Posted by Dave Fehrle on March 23, 2024 at 3:23pm 8 Comments

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?
