Hi, I own a 1964 Eldorado and the electrical antenna is no longer working smoothly and get sometimes stuck so like to refurbish it; who can help with a good vendor to do this.

Two things on the antenna:
The mast often gets oxidized and dirty and taking 0000 steel wool and WD 40 and liberally coating and going back and forth on each mast section as they extend will often make the push out and pull back in much easier.
The nylon cord attached to the bottom of the mast and winds into a cup attached to the motor often breaks. When this happens they mast will usually push out to a point then not pull back down. This required replacing the mast.
If the motor is intermittently working I would check the connector in the engine compartment over by the passenger side firewall underneath the area where the wiring feeds to the antenna assembly. The connector male/female connectors may be oxidized or corroded and just need cleaning. You can disconnect the connector and test the antenna directly by attaching 12 volts to green wire connector to push mast out and blue wire connector to pull back in.
Back to your question, I scanned our Parts & Service page and did not see any antenna rebuilder so maybe someone can chime in and provide a rebuilder, preferably on the West Coast where you are located.
I believe Casey Daddy will rebuild them, or you can buy a rebuilt one. Caddy Daddy also has a video on how to rebuild them, if you are a little bit handy it looks very doable to do it yourself.
Thx will reach out to Caey Daddy; do you have a email or cell phone?
Thx, very helpful - the nylon cord is still there but rolling in / out is the problem so want to avoid breaking it.

Could someone post front and back photos of the 1963 right-hand kick panel with A/C?
My car didn’t come with the original kick panels, so it's a bit of a mystery to me how I should cut the backing board and carpet to fit around the A/C.
Many thanks,
-Samu

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?
