Need neutral safety switch

Help!

My 1964 Eldorado's neutral safety switch has sprung a vacuum leak, and it looks like I will need a replacement.  It has the Tilt/Turbohydramatic switch, a #653 (Part No. 1993653, I believe).  Anyone out there have a good one and, if so, how much will it cost?  If not, any suggestions where I might find one?

'64 Eldo parts needed.

Posted on February 4, 2014 at 10:28pm 11 Comments

After a freeze plug fell out nearly causing fatal consequences to my overhauled 429 engine (with 665 miles on it, but the shop has accepted responsibility for repairs) I need to locate a nice connector to my 6 window power window switch - the part which connects to the bottom of the window switches.  Mine is damaged (the backing piece is in tatters) and the pins from the switch are loose and can't seem to stay in contact with the damaged connector.  Appears that a replacement will have to be…

Bad Guage?

Posted by Karl Schwarz on August 26, 2020 at 3:08pm 6 Comments

So I am troubleshooting my fuel gauge issue. I bought a new sender and tested it. It  it goes from 1-ohm (empty) to 35-ohm (full). When I test it (outside the tank), when the float is in the up (full) position it only moves the gauge to about 1/2 full. When at the bottom (empty) position the gauge shows empty. This is the same issue I have when I fill and then use the gas in the tank - the gauge never reads ore than half full. Based on what I've read on this thread it would seem like the…
