Emblem Removal

Good Afternoon - my name is Chris and I'm new to the site (well ... officially; I've read a lot of your posts and am very impressed by the great advice and interest).  I'm working on a very original '63 SDV Park Avenue and am attempting to remove the "Park Avenue" emblems in preparation for a repaint.  Once I carefully removed the truck liner, I noticed that the studs are conical shaped and do not appear to have ever had a speed-nut, or some type of push clip ever installed.  I have removed all of  the trim, bumpers, etc. from the car and this is the last item ... as I'm sure you guys are aware, these emblems seem to be pretty rare and I really don't want to snap studs if I don't have to.  Any tips?  (Planning for the worst, I have a decent supply of small copper studs and low temp solder from Muggy Weld).  Thanks!

Thanks Russ - I only had one broken stud which wasn’t too difficult to repair.  Another question, I’ve been struggling with the trim strip that runs from the base of the back window around to the back door (terminating just under the rain gutter).  I have carefully removed the inside panel and accessesed and removed the three nuts holdong the clips. With an old body filler spreader; I next began to carefully lift the trim away from the window gasket but couldn’t quite remove it.  I really don’t want to destroy this piece, the rubber gasket, etc.  Any recommendations. Thank you
