Well, I'm still slowly going through a lot of trials and tribulations, trying to get this 63 SDV back in shape.
I remember now why I went from cars to antique tractors as therapy. Tractors are simple and cheap. I'm beginning to liken this to the game of golf, which I can't stand and never took up. But, then I go for a drive, look at the lines of these ol rigs, and start in again.
It took me two shops to get the rear spherical ball joint replaced. 1st on couldn't keep rear axle from tilting forward. 2nd one had no problem Frustration.
I finally gave up on the blinkers. Worked intermittently then started blowing fuses. Took it to an old electrical shop that's been around for years figuring somewhere should remember this old school stuff. They did get them fixed - chafed wire under battery hold down box.
Also had them look at the 6 way seat. They had it over a week and still ain't fixed. Real frustration. They determined both relays were bad. 1 original, 1 used replacement. Motor is good. Switch ok. Found someone has wired seat to horn fuse instead of breaker. I haven't checked this out yet. They said it appears that all the solenoids are engaged, so it won't move. They never did figure out why. I brought it home because I have it scheduled for some other mechanical stuff.
Anyway, does anyone have a KNOWN working 6way seat relay?I'm about to bite the bullet and buy a new on off Epay.
Also, not sure what the heck I need for the transmission. Everything moves freely in the tranny, The old grease has been cleaned and regreased. Seat rails and gear boxes cleaned/greased and moved full range of motion via cables w/drill.
I just want to move the darn thing forward and back.
OK, done venting, going to get another beer.

Thanks Tim for the info. The seat won't move period.. Its tough finding a shop that knows how to work on these things. With shipping and handling both ways, I'm going to just buy a new one.
Thanks again for the info, I will print it out and put it with the rest of the stuff I've collected. I'll get it fixed sooner or later.

Could someone post front and back photos of the 1963 right-hand kick panel with A/C?
My car didn’t come with the original kick panels, so it's a bit of a mystery to me how I should cut the backing board and carpet to fit around the A/C.
Many thanks,

Hey guys,
I have installed the same Edelbrock carb and have done everything the same as Jason’s carb and intake project. In the spring and summer months the car starts, runs and idles great! In the fall and winter months on a cold start, the car starts awful and wants to die until it warms up. I have to keep my foot on the throttle until it warms up or it will idle just terrible and try to die. Once it’s warm, it runs fantastic! Whats going on here? I was thinking of removing the…
