I just got everything back together from installing the hood to cowl side seal weatherstrip and wiper washer kit. I feel like I've been stuck in time on my 64 CDV since last fall's interior project so it was good to make some progress on the Caddy. The washer pump has never worked and I was grinning from ear to ear when I took the 15 minutes to install the $20 repair kit I've now had for 2 years and see them work for the first time.
I thought it would be a good time to address the washer pump as I was redoing the hood to cowl side seals and would have the cowl cover removed and could replace the washer jets if needed. In fact, I ended up replacing both washer jets, with one being completely blocked and of course having a bin full of them many with nicer chrome than the ones I had on the car.
I'll get some good pictures and video but will post some earlier pictures from the iphone below as I was installing the side seals. (Of course it looks better with the cowl cover installed and everything cleaned up.)

I didn't use any adhesive with the hood to cowl seal, only the hood to cowl side seal.
I used black weather strip adhesive on the hood to cowl side seals which this thread references. I am not following the comment about holes in the long strip as there should not be holes in the hood to cowl side seal? You can see a bit of my black sealant peaking out in this picture which is also posted above:

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?

Hey everyone, has anybody done a Vintage Air AC/Heat setup in their car? I want to bypass the old vacuum setup and go with a Vintage Air Gen 2 model. Before I get started, does anyone have any experience with this? (Which model to go with, do’s and dont’s, etc.) It looks pretty involved. Any and all info/pics would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Who rebuilds original AC accumulator dryers for 1964 Cadillac? I have been on Classic auto air in Tampa FL wait list for over a year , There is one on Old air products web site that looks very similar to the original # 21-4214A but states it fits 1962 Gm cars, The one recommended for a 1964 Cadillac is half the length 21-4215A What is everyone using ? I would prefer to be as original as possible. Thanks

My son, unbeknownst to me, had all three of the horns on our 1963 Eldorado completely restored. We had recently added the Eldorado trumpet horn to the two standard horns and the sound was not very good... we had heard good ones so we knew something was not right... but there was not much we could do to get better sound from the 3 horns.
