Hello, can anyone recommend where I can get pre-shaped foam for a bench seat?

Also can anyone recommend where I can get new seat springs for a bench seat?

Thanks.

Peter.

Hi Peter,

I plan to pull all my seats this upcoming winter and have them reupholstered with the original fabric.  The upholsterer will take them to his shop and is redoing all the foam and the upholstery.  He does top notch work.  As far as the springs, you would probably have to find used seats from a parts car.  Jason Edge might know.

Hi Dennis,

Thanks for that.

My upholsterer has said because my foam is molded with a lip it is difficult to cut new foam to shape and fit and he will not do it. He says he has seen on-line companies that sell pre-shaped molded foam, so I'm trying to find them.

The problem with used seat springs is that they will probably be as worn out or broken as mine are. I will try searching on-line.

Regards,

Peter.

Hi Peter,

I did not know about the lip in the foam on some of the seats and that they are available.  I hope you can find them on line.  You are right about the springs; they are as old as ours.  I have never seen these available, but you never know what the internet has to offer.  Good luck with both items and hope you get them.  We'll talk again and I'll let you know how mine turn out.  Regards to the UK.

Thanks very much Dennis.

Peter.

1963 RHS A/C kick panel - photos needed

Posted by SK on June 2, 2025 at 2:20pm 2 Comments

Could someone post front and back photos of the 1963 right-hand kick panel with A/C?

My car didn’t come with the original kick panels, so it's a bit of a mystery to me how I should cut the backing board and carpet to fit around the A/C.

Many thanks,

Edelbrock Carb Block off Plates

Posted by Chase on March 12, 2025 at 2:05pm 14 Comments

Hey guys,

I have installed the same Edelbrock carb and have done everything the same as Jason’s carb and intake project. In the spring and summer months the car starts, runs and idles great! In the fall and winter months on a cold start, the car starts awful and wants to die until it warms up. I have to keep my foot on the throttle until it warms up or it will idle just terrible and try to die. Once it’s warm, it runs fantastic! Whats going on here? I was thinking of removing the…
