Jason's Engine Rebuild Project Pt 4 - Engine Bay
Before I installed my rebuilt engine I cleaned up and painted the engine bay. Here are some pictures just before I dropped the engine in taken on May 19, 2012.

The talk about cleaning up engine bays reminded me I never posted any "in process" pictures of my engine bay. Just loaded a few including pictures of my brother Mark who was a big help doing the dirty work!

Hey guys,
I have installed the same Edelbrock carb and have done everything the same as Jason’s carb and intake project. In the spring and summer months the car starts, runs and idles great! In the fall and winter months on a cold start, the car starts awful and wants to die until it warms up. Loud air moving sound within carb with cleaner removed

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?
