I have loved 1963/ 1964 Cadillacs ever since my Father bought me a model kit of a 1964 Cadillac Sedan DeVille. I fell in love with the style and beauty of this luxury car from a very young age. It quickly became my dream car and now many years later, I finally have it.

PLEASE HELP!!!! No Spark

Posted on July 26, 2016 at 9:00pm 4 Comments

I am having a terrible time with my 64 SDV- She quit on me at a Red Light. All the ignition parts are new and the points are properly adjusted. I have 12 Volts going to the coil and power to the distributor- but NO SPARK. So I thought -must be a bad coil. I changed the coil three times and just bought a Fourth- still NO SPARK- even with 12 Volts going to it. I am lost here. The only thing i did not change is that small condenser or resister on the coil. What does that do?? Could it be…

COIL QUESTION

Posted on July 22, 2016 at 9:28pm 1 Comment

My 64 SDV has no power going to Coil. I have a good battery that is fully charged and everything looks to be hooked up correctly. Is there a fuse that may have blown that provides power to the coil? Has anyone else had this problem?

Any info would be Greatly Appreciated.

Thanks

Which Shocks for my 64 SDV are MOST like Originals?

Started by Norman Silverman in 1963/64 Cadillac Specific Discussion 18 hours ago. 0 Replies

I am considering replacing the shocks in my 64 SDV. They're not terrible, but are a little too wishy-washy. I want to replace them with shocks that most closely approximate the original damping rate…Continue

Loud air moving sound within carb with cleaner removed

Posted by Dave Fehrle on March 23, 2024 at 3:23pm 8 Comments

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?

Vintage Air AC

Posted by Chase on March 21, 2024 at 5:55am 0 Comments

Hey everyone, has anybody done a Vintage Air AC/Heat setup in their car? I want to bypass the old vacuum setup and go with a Vintage Air Gen 2 model. Before I get started, does anyone have any experience with this? (Which model to go with, do’s and dont’s, etc.) It looks pretty involved. Any and all info/pics would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
