Jason, question is your leather and vinyl the same color on the inside? I'm having my interior worked on and it seems the color of the leather is on the creamy side and the vinyl is white.

Thanks for the info...I think we have the same color leather but for some reason my vinyl is more the shade of white. I also just contacted SMS and was able to find my green fabric but right now it's in great shape. I'm going to speak with the repair company and see what they suggest on the vinyl color. I ran across this company at a local car show and their before and after photos were amazing.

Just to add, that's the original leather and vinyl in my car. I had my local shop order the dover fabric through SMS some 10+ years ago and sew in new fabric...other than that its original leather.  The guy that had owned the car before me put seat covers on it which helped protect the leather.

All of my interior is Sandalwood.

My Coupe Deville has interior trim code 44  with standard options including leather seat bolsters, dover fabric inserts, and seat fronts and back vinyl, all in Sandalwood. Even my Pooch is part sandalwood!:

1963 RHS A/C kick panel - photos needed

Posted by SK on June 2, 2025 at 2:20pm 2 Comments

Could someone post front and back photos of the 1963 right-hand kick panel with A/C?

My car didn’t come with the original kick panels, so it's a bit of a mystery to me how I should cut the backing board and carpet to fit around the A/C.

Many thanks,

-Samu

Loud air moving sound within carb with cleaner removed

Posted by Dave Fehrle on March 23, 2024 at 3:23pm 8 Comments

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?
