When replacing has anyone found the doors hard to close? I'm hoping the rubber will relax pretty quick...yes/no? I ordered the kit from Steele Rubber.

Hi Kevin,
I forgot to look but will when I get back. I'll check out the 63 CDV also.

Jason....I know your out of town but wanted to follow up with you to see if you did actually have the gap at the top of the door and below the windows.  I've looked in multiple catalogs and just cannot figure out what is missing.

I think I've got that gap to. You see it if the light is shining through the door just right. I think I remember looking at it and not really seeing any seal that would block it. I'll have to check again.

Any thoughts on the open gap I'm seeing...there has to be another seal that is missing?

Mine was pretty tight at first..but believe it relaxed a bit. I bought my door seal rubber that wraps around the door body from Steele some years back.

1963 RHS A/C kick panel - photos needed

Posted by SK on June 2, 2025 at 2:20pm 2 Comments

Could someone post front and back photos of the 1963 right-hand kick panel with A/C?

My car didn’t come with the original kick panels, so it's a bit of a mystery to me how I should cut the backing board and carpet to fit around the A/C.

Many thanks,

-Samu

Loud air moving sound within carb with cleaner removed

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?
