Radio Antenna Cabel

Hey Guys I have a question about my car antenna cabel. While removing the antenna connector from the AM/FM radio I pulled more on the cabel than connector and I ended up holding it in my hand with the con nector still in the radio. Now looking at it I'm woundering if its the reason I'm not pulling in the stations especially AM like I should. The cabel is black and part of that is stripped away exposing braded wire then some white tubing..should a solid wire be exposed after that? if so how should I cut it correctly and how much should be exposed?

Comment by Jason Edge on January 10, 2013 at 12:13am: I've got VG nice solid original antenna cables for $20 + $6 s/h if your end has pulled apart. I can't remember trying to reapir one but if any doubt wiht yours I have plenty of nce VG+ used ones.

Could someone post front and back photos of the 1963 right-hand kick panel with A/C?

My car didn’t come with the original kick panels, so it's a bit of a mystery to me how I should cut the backing board and carpet to fit around the A/C.

Loud air moving sound within carb with cleaner removed

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?
