Hi Folks!  This is the kind of thing people usually ask me but I'm a little stumped and need some help.  Years ago when I replaced the front speaker in my 63 Sixty Special, I didn't scribe the mounting properly. As such, the speaker has never been aligned to the dash pad just right and this causes a little rattle.  Does anyone know how to get a proper fit (if you messed up and didn't mark?).  Thanks!... Joe

Thing is, there is a rubber gasket on top of the speaker frame.  The speaker frame attaches to the firewall between the defrost ducts.  It can slide a good 3/4" up or down.  Meanwhile, the speaker grill, which is attached to the dash pad, has a slight bit of play in it's attachment to the pad.  I'm thinking the idea is that it is supposed to snug up under that grill so the grill play is gone while still leaving enough give for the front pad clips to hook.

As I recall from when I replaced mine, it was a much tighter fit because modern speakers seem to have larger magnets at the base. If I were you I would just remove the dash and wriggle the speaker until it fit it the housing properly and make sure it was screwed in tight so that it wouldn't be able to jiggle around.

1963 RHS A/C kick panel - photos needed

Posted by SK on June 2, 2025 at 2:20pm 2 Comments

Could someone post front and back photos of the 1963 right-hand kick panel with A/C?

My car didn’t come with the original kick panels, so it's a bit of a mystery to me how I should cut the backing board and carpet to fit around the A/C.

Many thanks,

Edelbrock Carb Block off Plates

Posted by Chase on March 12, 2025 at 2:05pm 14 Comments

Hey guys,

I have installed the same Edelbrock carb and have done everything the same as Jason’s carb and intake project. In the spring and summer months the car starts, runs and idles great! In the fall and winter months on a cold start, the car starts awful and wants to die until it warms up. I have to keep my foot on the throttle until it warms up or it will idle just terrible and try to die. Once it’s warm, it runs fantastic! Whats going on here? I was thinking of removing the…
