Beltline weatherstrip fitting

I had purchased some new weatherstripping from Steele Rubber and removed the old beltline weatherstripping that was stapled on. The new weatherstripping has a bunch of tabs on it instead of staples. Are you supposed to drill out the old stainless steel trim to make it fit? Just wanted to ask before I go putting holes in it. Also, do y'all use any sealant as well?

Brakes Went Out

Posted on August 8, 2018 at 8:25am 36 Comments

My '64 Cadillac DeVille had been sitting for awhile while I was travelling this summer and when I came home it had some issues starting. After replacing the plugs and the ignition coil, it was running better than it had in a long time but the brakes were sticking. I noticed the brake pedal was traveling a little farther than usual when slowing down. Soon after I noticed a hissing noise coming from around the brake pedal. Then I lost the brakes pretty much completely. I couldn't find any…

Modernized Stock Radio

I've been waiting a long time for somebody to make this so I'm really excited to share it. I've seen people run Aux to the original radio, but this goes way beyond that. You can keep the looks of the stock radio, but with modern amenities like Bluetooth, Aux, and outputs for Amps and Subs. I posted the website and Youtube link to a Cadillac radio below. …

OK so I figured it out the lens come out easy just stuck a bit. I thought it was a burned out bulb but its not. The right side all work but the left side does not blink. Very low light from the turn signal but the corner light on the fender just stays on. Where else should I look?

Thanks

Hi Christopher, If you still need an in-car sensor grill you were at the top of my 'needs list' and have a nice one from the last parts car waiting for you. Check your emails. Jason.

Dash removal

Posted by Jake Mickley on October 9, 2019 at 12:06am 9 Comments

Hello everyone,

On a 63 CDV, if a guy wanted to remove the entire dash to get all the metal painted, and do some other things behind there, how would he go about doing that?  I checked here and the shop manual, but can't find a complete guide.

As always, and help or direction is appreciated.  Thanks!
