Drove the old Cadillac over 456 miles this weekend to go visit Penn Tech for their annual car show and see some friends from the restoration program

Sounds like you're really driving and enjoying your car! It's better to shake em down locally and find out any weird issues before committing to a long road trip so it sounds like you're doing it right. Happy cruising!
Excellent road trip!
I am striving to be braver this summer with my 64 Fleetwood. Since I purchased the car in Aug of 2022, I have put over 7,000 miles on the car, but that's a lot of "around home" driving.
My wife and I will take it on a longer trip this weekend from our home in Atlanta IL to Oglesby IL for a car show at "The Root Beer Stand" which was recently purchased by my wife's cousin. Should be a good drive! That'll be about 82 miles door to parking lot!
When I purchased the car, I drove it all the way home from Guttenberg IA to Bloomington IL. That was over 250 miles and it was about 95 degrees out that day. I've not been brave enough to travel that far in it again though!
My Fleetwood has NEVER left me stranded!
Thanks, Jason. That's Williamsport's old pajama factory as they call it. It's now converted to a bunch of art studios and some small businesses. It's a pretty interesting old building with a bunch of the original features like pulley weights on the doors.
Sounds like a fantastic road trip with the Caddy. I have to say I love the picture you posted. The old closed up brick building adds a rustic touch to it!
Thanks Dennis. The car has been a real trooper this past year doing this drive back and forth a few times from MD to PA after my 4x4 winter beater engine exploded. It was the perfect car to haul all my friends around in and even used it to move all my stuff back at the end of the semester.
Chris,
Great accomplishment and a beautiful car!!!!!! Penn Tech must have loved the car.

I’m in the midst of refreshing some things in my dash. I got my passenger ash tray working for the first time ever apparently, evident by the factory defect tag. “While I’m in here I might as well…Continue

Could someone post front and back photos of the 1963 right-hand kick panel with A/C?
My car didn’t come with the original kick panels, so it's a bit of a mystery to me how I should cut the backing board and carpet to fit around the A/C.
Many thanks,
-Samu

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?
