Tacky Southern Hillbilly Cadillac Art!

Trying to wrap up some house projects before we head up to Lake George for the Grand National, and  today we poured twenty 80lb bags of concrete to finish out a curb wall up next to our 102 year old brick foundation, and ended up with a bit of extra concrete and had some fun. I've been known to point old coil springs for yard art, but tried some lifters and pushrods in what was supposed to be a stepping stone. My wife had made one with white river rock and embedded an old horseshoe we found around the house in hers!  Call it Tacky Southern Hillbilly Cadillac Yard Art!

I'm about to take my 2nd shower for the day and get a bite to eat and start back on the newsletter so I will probably miss the chat this evening but encourage others to join in.

Here's a couple of pictures:

For more pictures from today's house project click on House Curb Wall and White Rock Project.  If you are not Facebook Friend of mine, be sure and "Friend Me". I promise not to send any tacky art like this your way!

1963 RHS A/C kick panel - photos needed

Posted by SK on June 2, 2025 at 2:20pm 2 Comments

Could someone post front and back photos of the 1963 right-hand kick panel with A/C?

My car didn’t come with the original kick panels, so it's a bit of a mystery to me how I should cut the backing board and carpet to fit around the A/C.

Many thanks,

-Samu

Edelbrock Carb Block off Plates

Posted by Chase on March 12, 2025 at 2:05pm 14 Comments

Hey guys,

I have installed the same Edelbrock carb and have done everything the same as Jason’s carb and intake project. In the spring and summer months the car starts, runs and idles great! In the fall and winter months on a cold start, the car starts awful and wants to die until it warms up. I have to keep my foot on the throttle until it warms up or it will idle just terrible and try to die. Once it’s warm, it runs fantastic! Whats going on here? I was thinking of removing the…
