Hey there, I'm looking for a total of two door courtesy light brackets (chrome portion - mine are broken and somewhat hang out of door), one for the front passenger's door and the other for the rear driver's side door. Prefer good to excellent condition... Brackets are for a '64 Sedan Deville.
Also, I'll be posting this question in another forum, but figured I'd add it here as well... Does anyone know how to remove the rear courtesy lights near the backseat passenger's heads? I just need to replace the lens, and the old ones are so fragile that they pretty much crumble, which I don't want if the new lens' aren't a perfect fit.
Thanks in advance!!!! Mike

- I have a large selection of the 1964 de Ville arm rest courtesy light fixtures. I assume you want the red lens. I sell fair to good ones that you might send to rechrome for $10, or my very best with minimum to no pitting for $20 each. If interested shoot me an email to jasonedge@nc.rr.com.
- On the rear courtesy light there are 3 small tabs on the lip of the lens. I take a carpet cutter razor blade and insert between the chrome housing and lens to gently pry the edge of the plastic lens out. Once you get one tab started go to the next and then the 3rd. Often on a really baked lens there is no saving these lenses but if not too pad you can usually get them with the razor blade. I believe I have also used very small jewelers screw drivers, but the razor blade works best for me.

Could someone post front and back photos of the 1963 right-hand kick panel with A/C?
My car didn’t come with the original kick panels, so it's a bit of a mystery to me how I should cut the backing board and carpet to fit around the A/C.
Many thanks,
-Samu

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?
