Tony,

I always appreciate your replies. Thank you.

I'm getting very excited to get the car back.  Unfortunately, we have a slow down with the upholsterer.   I must confess that I'm getting a bit of anxiety at the thought of driving the car around time and parking her anywhere due to careless drivers texting on their cell phone, shopping cart pushers, and door dings in parking lots.  Ugg.  Well, she's meant to be driven and I'm sure my anxiousness will subside once I been out and about for awhile (or once the first ding happens!)

Tony,

I love that you convertible was first purchased new by your dad.  Certainly, you have an heirloom!

Original Rim Color

When I get some new shoes for my 64 Fleetwood, I'd like to recondition the rims. I'd thought of getting them powder coated, and still plan to eventually, but the $700 quote I received shunted that…Continue

Edelbrock Carb Block off Plates

Posted by Chase on March 12, 2025 at 2:05pm 14 Comments

Hey guys,

I have installed the same Edelbrock carb and have done everything the same as Jason’s carb and intake project. In the spring and summer months the car starts, runs and idles great! In the fall and winter months on a cold start, the car starts awful and wants to die until it warms up. I have to keep my foot on the throttle until it warms up or it will idle just terrible and try to die. Once it’s warm, it runs fantastic! Whats going on here? I was thinking of removing the…

Loud air moving sound within carb with cleaner removed

Posted by Dave Fehrle on March 23, 2024 at 3:23pm 8 Comments

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?
