I am readying my Fleetwood to be painted.  I need to replace the driver's side left chrome eyebrow molding (below the headlights).  It appears to be made from pot metal.  Mine is broken and I need to replace it.  Does anyone have one?  I just removed the front bumper for re-chroming and suspect that whatever I purchase should be re-chromed as well at the same time.

Thank you.

Hey Stephen,

If Jason does not have that LH eyebrow, try Borth Auto Parts in Wisconsin.  I bought a RH eyebrow from them, plus an original oil dipstick (mine was a Taiwan replacement).  www.Borthautoparts.com.  Look under 1964 Cadillac listing.  Good luck!

Linda,

Good suggestion!  Maybe Jason could list this business under the Parts & Service section of our Website, where myriad businesses are referenced for all to inquire.

Thanks!  I believe that the '63 eyebrow is the same as the '64, but I shouldn't have assumed.

I don't know how many parts Borth Auto has already pulled, but the man I spoke to was very nice and helpful.  They deal in other classic cars too.  I really needed a stock dipstick, and his was $50 compared to those on eBay for $100+.  I didn't think about asking about dipsticks and tubes during the Zoom, but my tube may not be stock either - I can't get the stock dipstick to go in.

Linda

The eyebrow trim pieces are different from year to year.

Dear Russ,

Do you have a driver's side eyebrow molding (below the headlights) for my 1963 Fleetwood?

1963 RHS A/C kick panel - photos needed

Posted by SK on June 2, 2025 at 2:20pm 2 Comments

Could someone post front and back photos of the 1963 right-hand kick panel with A/C?

My car didn’t come with the original kick panels, so it's a bit of a mystery to me how I should cut the backing board and carpet to fit around the A/C.

Many thanks,

-Samu

Loud air moving sound within carb with cleaner removed

Posted by Dave Fehrle on March 23, 2024 at 3:23pm 8 Comments

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?
