Tilt colum felt seal
Hi,
the steering shaft of my 63 tilt steering column does not have any support at the lower (steering box) end (see the pic below).
I think I have lost the felt seal shown in the manual (the lower pic).
If so, I need one, so is there a reproduction available or does someone have a good used one?
If the felt seal is just a rubber bushing, the measures could be enought. Measured on the column, the shaft seems to be 3/4” and the column (maybe) 1 3/16”. But how tall is the shaft?

Could someone post front and back photos of the 1963 right-hand kick panel with A/C?
My car didn’t come with the original kick panels, so it's a bit of a mystery to me how I should cut the backing board and carpet to fit around the A/C.

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?
