Very Carefully!!! LOL.  It has been a while since I replaced any, and when I did it was only one or two at a time. There should be a tab that presses up against the slat holding it in place. If you bend it slightly to one side it will release the slat. Be careful not to bend to much or brake the aluminum. Knowing what I know now, I would probably heat the aluminum up a bit with the heat gun to make it a bit more pliable. Since I have not done an extensive grill disassembly and assembly I would look to other to perhaps give you better guidance. I have heard of people taking them completely apart, polishing them, having them anodized, and putting them back together. I would have to set a side some serious time and up my patience quotient to take on a complete grill reassembly. Hopefully you just have a few slats to install.

1963 RHS A/C kick panel - photos needed

Posted by SK on June 2, 2025 at 2:20pm 2 Comments

Could someone post front and back photos of the 1963 right-hand kick panel with A/C?

My car didn’t come with the original kick panels, so it's a bit of a mystery to me how I should cut the backing board and carpet to fit around the A/C.

Many thanks,

-Samu

Loud air moving sound within carb with cleaner removed

Posted by Dave Fehrle on March 23, 2024 at 3:23pm 8 Comments

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?
