Last Night CLC IT Committee Lead Dave Rubin sent me the cool Web Site Excellence Award and Web Site of Merit Logos we can use here on the website. As winner of this year's Web Site Excellence Award we will be the only website wearing this badge of distinction until next year's winner. Look for some changes in our header and background in the coming days as I determine how to incorporate these logos.

This has to be the easiest category for the CLC to give out with your modesty aside Jason, there is not another region or chapter site that is even close yours congrats again!
We were again a recipient of the Website of Merit award for 2014 and will post our new 2014 badge, and integrate into our header logo when I receive it. Congrats to all of you that help make this a great website!
Thanks! It was definitely a big honor being one of the websites to receive the Website of Merit award since I am part of the CLC IT committee and was part of the judging process and know the stringent critieria to qualify. And no, I didn't get to judge our website, LOL!
As far as the Website Excellence Award, that means a couple of things: It mean our website was selected the Best Chapter or Region website out of about 46 sites...and there are some really nice sites out there, and on a personal level I get to gloat a bit as CLC websmaster of the year.
Yesterday it was fun incorporating our awarded badges up in the header section. It's definitely a nice bragging item and everyone in the CLC is of course free to use on letterhead, fliers, etc, to promote the chapter. I will take another look at the basic flyer I use and incorporate them up top somewhere.
Again, congratulations to all of you for helping make this a great website. I can post things up left and right, but it takes member participation to really make the site great.
Of course it is without saying, that if you have not joined the CLC, our chapter, a local region, and taken part in local and national meets, or even just receiving the excellent Self Starter magazine which is all about the 1963 Cadillac this month, now is the time to join!
Jason.

I meant to make this a priority over the winter and didn't get that far. I've tried to source all the parts individually, but that is a daunting task. Partly because I don't want to miss any…Continue

Hey guys,
I have installed the same Edelbrock carb and have done everything the same as Jason’s carb and intake project. In the spring and summer months the car starts, runs and idles great! In the fall and winter months on a cold start, the car starts awful and wants to die until it warms up. I have to keep my foot on the throttle until it warms up or it will idle just terrible and try to die. Once it’s warm, it runs fantastic! Whats going on here? I was thinking of removing the…

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?
