Starting to address some odds and ends on the 64 CDV here in the winter months. Some projects I've got going on:
- clock converted to quartz was installed today
- bought the correct Kleer-View label to go on the dealer installed anti freeze bottle. Other one I had did not match what is in the Accessories Booklet that comes with the owners manual...and this one is in color!
- seat trim was picked up from paint/body shop with fresh correct bahama sand paint. I wanted to make sure it is the correct color before I tackle the metal dash.
- on Jan 21 I will put car in body shop for some paint touch up on Left front fender and Right rear qtr.
- after that I will remove the entire metal dash, steering column and upper door metal trim pieces and take to body shop for paint.
Other projects I want to tackle include finally installing the splash aprons around fender and upper A arms, install the rebuild correct Delco Morraine booster. pull and repaint the the wiper motor metal casing which is not cadmium but a sprayed silver to silver gold color on most I've pulled from parts cars, do something with the rear inside package shelf inside that has discolored, fix a button off the front seat and maybe resew more new fabric on drover seat, ....and the biggie will be to go through the AC System! I doing this like taking a test and tackling the easier items although removing and re-installing the dash is not for the faint of heart.
Anyone else have any winter projects going on?

Well, those were just some easy things. Removing and reinstalling the dash and the 100+ items that attach to it is not the easiest thing. I've got the advantage of removing 39 from parts cars!
The AC/Heat will be the other big thing to tackle and will be turning to Tims guide constantly.
On your exhaust manifold do you have a crack?...or just need to have them resurfaced and reinstalled with new gaskets? I can put you down for good ones if you shoot me an email...and the intake manifold also.

Could someone post front and back photos of the 1963 right-hand kick panel with A/C?
My car didn’t come with the original kick panels, so it's a bit of a mystery to me how I should cut the backing board and carpet to fit around the A/C.
Many thanks,
-Samu

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?
