Needed - 64 Cadillac Trunk Crest Flip Cover Spring

I've ended up with two new 64 Cadillac trunk flip cover Crests (extra was just sold) and no springs as I can't find my old one now!  I need a good solid flip cover spring.   If anyone has a good solid one email me at jasonedge@nc.rr.com. 2 to 3 day priority shipping in a small flat rate box will be fine.

Also still looking for the 1964 Turbo Hydramatic Tilt Gear Shift lever with the Dark Sandalwood end cap in nice condition.

NOPE! LOL. I will wait for a nice original with a good tight knob and cap. I waited probably 4 or 5 years to get the shift lever and it came through this past year...so no hurry. When I finally take the car to a GN (where my obsessive anal retentive tendencies will kick in) I will pop the cap off, match up with some tan color and do the JB Weld thingie.)

I could but 1) getting it to match the exact color of the correct  tilt and turn signal lever sandalwood caps will be tough (a dark brown or regular brown vs that amber/brown/tan color I have now will stick out just as bad) and 2) the lever I currently have has a loose end knob and cap glued in placed...that tends to work loose after so many drives. I've had the tilt levers with sandalwood caps, but sold before I switched over to the tilt column. I also of course want nice, pit free chrome. If I don't find one in say 5 to 10 years I will probably try and go the route of permanently securing the knob and cap to lever, and trying to match. I'm in this for the long haul and can wait it out for the correct piece.

Edelbrock Carb Block off Plates

Posted by Chase on March 12, 2025 at 2:05pm 13 Comments

Hey guys,

I have installed the same Edelbrock carb and have done everything the same as Jason’s carb and intake project. In the spring and summer months the car starts, runs and idles great! In the fall and winter months on a cold start, the car starts awful and wants to die until it warms up. I have to keep my foot on the throttle until it warms up or it will idle just terrible and try to die. Once it’s warm, it runs fantastic! Whats going on here? I was thinking of removing the…

Loud air moving sound within carb with cleaner removed

Posted by Dave Fehrle on March 23, 2024 at 3:23pm 8 Comments

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?
