Source for Motor mounts and Trans mounts 1964 SDV

Hi.

Where is the best place to purchase good quality motor mounts/trans mounts for my 1964 SDV? I see that Rock Auto has them for $8 and change, and others for $24 and change. Big difference. Is there a better place to buy them from?

Thanks

Norm

Don't know why I had not received notice of these responses till today. Thanks Ronnie for the info, and Clovis for your confidence. Jason, I'll take a set of motor mounts from you. The fact that they may be cheaper elsewhere is less important to me than the fact that you as a dedicated and knowledgeable resource for our cars, are supported. To me that's a better "value" than just a cheaper price.  I'll send you a direct email and you can quote me price with shipping.

Norm ive seen your work and you are capable of making the rear engine (transmission mount) yourself. You can make a mould for the trans mount after burning off the old rubber. You can buy a two part polyurethane cheap or just get a tube of 3m window weld for 20 or 30 bucks. If you use the 3m tube just install it in the mold in layers letting it set-up in between. You wont be able to break that stuff. Lots of YouTube videos on how its done.

I've used the Rockauto motor mounts and they are good quality, pretty sure USA made for great price.

Transmission mount (TH400) I've used this ebay seller twice https://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Transmission-Trans-Mount-1964-64-Cadil..., good price, good quality.

Should be no difference. Should be part # 2238 as part of the catalog # as seen below with the Anchor and Duralast (AutoZone) sourced mounts I have on hand.  I probably have 20 sets but the prices out there on some sites have really dropped recently, below what I paid, and will hold on to mine for the long haul. I think I paid about $10 each for mine and had priced to sell at $12.50 each or $25 a set but again if you can get them cheaper that is the way to go.

64 Recirc/Fresh Air Door Actuator replaced; FROM THE INSIDE.

Posted by Norman Silverman on February 4, 2019 at 11:21pm 8 Comments

I am happy to report that I have successfully replaced the Fresh Air/Recirc door actuator that is located on the blower box-and have done so without having to remove the blower box. I did it by taking out the glove box and attacking it from the back.  It took several days, LOTS of patience and some band-aids, but it is done. THE most difficult part -BY FAR- is to remove and then replace the screw that sits on the actuator arm, connecting it to the fresh…

Where do the flashers go in my 64 Deville Convert.  I'm thinking that's why both turn signals stopped working.
