Hi Phil, you can often pull the case off the switch body, cleans the contacts and bend tabs up a bit and get working again. Might give that a try if not already done.

the bottom of the switch is broken off and the wires no longer are held in--if is jump the wire out the window goes up and down--been this way for a while finally just quit working

Also check for broken wires inside the door jamb wire conduit.

all the wires have been repaired--99 percent sure its the switch

Maybe I could use a new drivers wiring harness for the window instead. Anyone have one

Phil, the drivers door is always the worst for wear. I have yet to bring in a car with all the wires intact. American Auto Wire builds new wire harness's. You just send them your old one.

I believe I just need the plug at the end where the master switch connects mine fell apart if you have the plug with 6" of wire that would be perfect also the drivers window switch is the only one that is inoperable the other windows all work from the master switch

Phil, I have a plug.  Send me an email to;  russ85747@hotmaiil.com

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?

Vintage Air AC

Posted by Chase on March 21, 2024 at 5:55am 0 Comments

Hey everyone, has anybody done a Vintage Air AC/Heat setup in their car? I want to bypass the old vacuum setup and go with a Vintage Air Gen 2 model. Before I get started, does anyone have any experience with this? (Which model to go with, do’s and dont’s, etc.) It looks pretty involved. Any and all info/pics would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
