Hello there. I am trying to change my recirculation actuator. Trying to figure out how to remove it. Manual does not explain removal procedure. If anyone can point me in the right direction that would be most helpful and appreciated. Thanks Larry

I was able to change mine out by removing the glove box liner and defrost duct & reaching through the glove box to remove the nuts securing the actuator. There are 2 nuts attaching it to the case & 1 screw attaching the door lever. It was pretty much a "work by feel" job and some profanity was involved but I was happy with the result. I'm not sure how easy it is to remove the case but that is probably the official way to do this job.

Here are some pics of the job from inside the glove box & in the engine bay:

Here's a vid of the new actuator working:

Thanks Kurt that was very helpful. The pictures are great! Larry

1963 RHS A/C kick panel - photos needed

Posted by SK on June 2, 2025 at 2:20pm 2 Comments

Could someone post front and back photos of the 1963 right-hand kick panel with A/C?

My car didn’t come with the original kick panels, so it's a bit of a mystery to me how I should cut the backing board and carpet to fit around the A/C.

Many thanks,

-Samu

Loud air moving sound within carb with cleaner removed

Posted by Dave Fehrle on March 23, 2024 at 3:23pm 8 Comments

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?
