Hi all,

I am looking to get a positive Spring Ring battery cable for my 64 Coupe. The Delco part # is 4F53. It needs to be 53” long and have the smaller wire to go to the alternator.
Does anyone know where I can find one?

Thanks

Jeff

Hi Jeff,

I checked all six of my go to sites for the Spring Ring cable for the 64 Coupe but could not find one.  I know Jason posted pictures of his car and he has them.  Ask him when he gets back from his trip.  Wish I could be more help.

Jeff , if you look in the help section Jason did a write up about the Battery and Battery Cables,   Here is a link to the POS cable    https://www.heartbeatcitycamaro.com/13064/69-Camaro-Spring-Ring-Pos...     A link to the help article   https://6364cadillac.ning.com/profiles/blogs/original-battery-and-c...

I have currently got 20 positive and 20 negative original spring ring type cables on order. As accurate as this last custom cable was, the final version should be almost 100% perfect. A couple of final tweaks includes having the negative cable short braided copper secondary ground strap that attached to radiator support installed on the cable (I will not have to do that now, not to mention I only have 4 or 5 left), and the positive cable will be a tad longer allowing for easier routing.  Email me at jasonedge64@outlook.com if you want to get on the wait list.

Loud air moving sound within carb with cleaner removed

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?

Vintage Air AC

Posted by Chase on March 21, 2024 at 5:55am 0 Comments

Hey everyone, has anybody done a Vintage Air AC/Heat setup in their car? I want to bypass the old vacuum setup and go with a Vintage Air Gen 2 model. Before I get started, does anyone have any experience with this? (Which model to go with, do’s and dont’s, etc.) It looks pretty involved. Any and all info/pics would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
