Hello All
I am chasing an AC issue and believe it may be useful to replace the CC control unit with a spare one I have, just to see if it makes any difference. How difficult is it to remove the speedometer cluster, so as to yield access to the CC control head?
Thanks
Norm

It's not difficult but it is heavy. I'd advise making it a two man job. You must be very careful not to scratch the surrounding dash paint, especially when you put it back in. The mounting screw holes are sharp.
Also, beside to remove the gear shit position indicator prior to removal and reinstallation. To access it you have to remove the panel cover under the steering wheel and you'll find a bolt/screw there holding he needle in place. You don't what to try to reinstall the speedometer cluster without first having removed the position indicator. Good luck

Could someone post front and back photos of the 1963 right-hand kick panel with A/C?
My car didn’t come with the original kick panels, so it's a bit of a mystery to me how I should cut the backing board and carpet to fit around the A/C.
Many thanks,
-Samu

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?
