For Sale - Fresh Chrome 1963 Series 62 Conv/CDV/Eldorado door panel chrome bezels

Hello,

My father and I are restoring our 63 series 62 conv, we had the chrome bezels for the window/seat switches rechromed.

During this process we also installed factory power door locks to the car.  Not realizing the switches are on the bezels we are now looking to sell this newly chromed set and purchase a core set of bezels that have the right set up for our car (manual vent windows, and power door locks)

If you are interested in the pair of bezels it will fit any coupe 63 with manual vents and no power door locks.

Price is $500 OBO

Thanks

Anthony

The bosses for the screws are on the switch plates you have. All you have to do is carefully cut out the square holes for the switches & thread the holes in the bosses. I did that when I converted my car to power vent windows. It turned out perfectly. Just letting you know of this option.

That was our first thought, but We'd rather offer these freshly chromed pieces to someone who might need them before cut them up and potentially damage them!

If they werent chromed already we would have went this route.

I have the RH side, and a few options for the LH side.  I have a 64 LH side but it has the emergency switch letters embossed. Your chrome shop can solder them up and rechrome the piece.

email me at russ@thecadishack.com  to inquire further.

Keep in mind the 64 arm rests do not have the tab at rear that slides into the wide trim band that runs down the arm rest on the 63 which is missing on the 64's.  I believe I had tried mounting a 64 switch panel on a 63 one time and it did not look right.  See difference in picture with 63 above and 64 below:

There sure are a lot of options for those switch plates, and as Kurt stated the bosses were there for all configurations ... they just punched out the correct opening for the switches needed.

A fully optioned right passenger side for a 63 would have cutouts for the power door lock, RH power bucket set, and both 1-way switches for a power vent window equipped car.

On the left it would be a Fleetwood 60 Special with the cutouts for the power door lock, power seat switch, 8-way power window switch.

Assuming Anthony does not have bucket seats he would need the 63 switch plates as seen below.

1963 RHS A/C kick panel - photos needed

Posted by SK on June 2, 2025 at 2:20pm 2 Comments

Could someone post front and back photos of the 1963 right-hand kick panel with A/C?

My car didn’t come with the original kick panels, so it's a bit of a mystery to me how I should cut the backing board and carpet to fit around the A/C.

Many thanks,

Loud air moving sound within carb with cleaner removed

Posted by Dave Fehrle on March 23, 2024 at 3:23pm 8 Comments

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?
