Hey All, good evening! I’m looking to purchase new bushings for my rear trailing arms and rear upper control arm. I’ve read that the replacement bushings for the lower trailing arms are composed of very soft rubber that’s prone to wearing extremely fast.
Do you know of anyone that’s selling upgraded versions using poly vs. rubber? I’m less concerned about the upper control arm bushings being poly, any replacements will do but I’m struggling to find those for sale anywhere online. Any feedback would be appreciated, thank you in advance guys! -Jacob

Dan McNarry used to be a member here who manufactured polyurethane bushings. His info is still in the "Parts Suppliers & Service" section.

Dan's  Customer Rear Control Links (Arms) - dmcnarry@telus.net
(Custom rear trailing arms with polyurethane  bushings for 63-64 Cadillacs
to address rear control arm bushing wear)

Thank you, Kurt! I attempted to reach out to Dan via email back in March, but never got a response. Perhaps he got a different email or no long makes the bushings or trailing arms. Appreciate your feedback, this chapter forum is the best!
Still hunting all over for these bushings. Where did you guys buy yours from?

It’s been a decade but I believe I purchased a set from rareparts.com

Caddydaddy.com also used to be a source

I also think a member of the Cadillac LaSalle forum may be a distributor for rare parts but I just can’t remember his name at the moment. 😕

I have adaptor inserts made to fit the poly bushings.   I sell them as a complete kit.  This is for the rear bushing in the lower arm only, as this gets all of the downforce from the spring.

email me at russ@thecadishack.com to inquire.

Dan no longer sells to anyone in the USA.

1963 RHS A/C kick panel - photos needed

Posted by SK on June 2, 2025 at 2:20pm 2 Comments

Could someone post front and back photos of the 1963 right-hand kick panel with A/C?

My car didn’t come with the original kick panels, so it's a bit of a mystery to me how I should cut the backing board and carpet to fit around the A/C.

Many thanks,

-Samu

Loud air moving sound within carb with cleaner removed

Posted by Dave Fehrle on March 23, 2024 at 3:23pm 8 Comments

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?
