I do not have access to Advanced settings.

Kurt, Your width seems about right but it is chopping off the height. When you pull in a picture it sets the width to the actual width...sort of like facebook does with its header. I'm not exactly sure how it determines the height but you can adjust it with custom style sheet (CSS) code. Here is the code I plugged into mine by going to:

Settings, My Page, Appearance, Advances, and plugging this in:

#xg_masthead /*Header*/{margin: auto; display: block;height:425px; width:955px; background-color:transparent ; background-image: url(image_ulr); background-repeat: no-repeat; background-position: top center}

It is best to resize your picture to 955 wide (if ou want it full width) then play around with the height. As you see mine is set to 425.

Jason, how do I increase the background picture size for the header on my personal page like you did on yours? I checked every item in the settings and I can't figure it out. Thanks, Kurt

Yeah, the profile picture can only bee so big. You will need to resize with a paint program or get it smaller size. I think if you upload it as a photo, view the picture (but not full sized) and right click and 'Save As' it will save as a much smaller version of your native Hi Res picture file. I use Paint Shop to resize my pictures but have even simply emailed the picture to myself using Windows Live Mail which gives you resize options.

Jim, I strongly encourage everyone to sign up to our new site here and start using it instead of the old one. The old site will be deleted and not supported by Multiply effective Dec 1 (according to their memo), which is why my focus now is completely on getting members signed up an familiar with this site and moving content over from the old site.  Since anything posted on the old site will be going away anyway I have already turned off the ability to post pictures, videos, calendar events, links, etc and will turn off posting messages (blogs) after Sept which will make it effectively Read Only until the planned shut down on Dec 1 by Multiply.

You could look at it like this:
Posting to the old site is like posting in sand but posting here is like posting in stone

..... or perhaps you could say posting on the old site is like buying diamonds for the girlfriend that already has her bags packed and is headed out the door! :-)

Thanks Jason, for keeping this site alive and running.  Should we phase out of using Multiply and start using this? Or keep using both til shut down. Either way the sites are very informative and helpful and fun in so may ways.

Regards, Jim

Thanks guys. It will take some time to get this site like we want it but think it will eventually be a BIG improvement over the Multiply site. Sometimes getting kicked out the door can be a good thing! LOL

Ray,

I will be loading my own photo albums...it will be up to each member to pick and choose what they want to load. Be sure and use the 'tag' feature at the bottom if specific key words you want to use to pull them up.

1963 RHS A/C kick panel - photos needed

Posted by SK on June 2, 2025 at 2:20pm 2 Comments

Could someone post front and back photos of the 1963 right-hand kick panel with A/C?

My car didn’t come with the original kick panels, so it's a bit of a mystery to me how I should cut the backing board and carpet to fit around the A/C.

Many thanks,

Edelbrock Carb Block off Plates

Posted by Chase on March 12, 2025 at 2:05pm 14 Comments

Hey guys,

I have installed the same Edelbrock carb and have done everything the same as Jason’s carb and intake project. In the spring and summer months the car starts, runs and idles great! In the fall and winter months on a cold start, the car starts awful and wants to die until it warms up. I have to keep my foot on the throttle until it warms up or it will idle just terrible and try to die. Once it’s warm, it runs fantastic! Whats going on here? I was thinking of removing the…
