Hi guys. as you all might know i am restoring a 1963 eldor cvt. all is going well but now i have found some trouble in the underside of the body. because of a bad repair in the past after a collision, water has started to seep in and rotted a big part of the floorpan at the right backside. it also affected the mounting point of the chassis to the body. i have removed that part but it is beyond on repair. i hope that you, and specially Russ and Jason because of all the spare parts you guys have, can help me to obtain a beter part. i am looking for a the body part where the chassis is connected to. I only need a small part of it and it is easy to remove. So if you have a wreck and you are willing to arrange that for me let me know. thanks a million in advance. Cees.

You could not tell from the picture you posted yesterday. :-) You do have enough for a template and someone good with metal fabrication should be able to contour and butt weld the additional sections in for you.
@ jason...........i will show you tomorrow a picture of the part i took out.........you will be amazed. it looks like a tea strain :-)
Where the body would mount to frame in that area looks pretty solid to me. It looks like there is some rot at the very right rear rocke on the far right outside of this brace area. Either way it looks like Russ might be your guy if you or your metal fabricator can fix the issue. If I had a body to pull from I would need the area circled out of exactly what you need.
Can you post a picture of the damaged part so we know exactly what you need?
thanks jason.........but that is not what i need. i have the pans and what i miss i can make my self. i nee the body to chassis mounting.
I don't have any part of the body or frame unless you catch me right as I am taking a car down which I am not right now. You might check with a good local metal fabricator, welder fist and also check with the 2 main body pan/sheet metal suppliers listed on our Parts Suppliers page:

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?

Hey everyone, has anybody done a Vintage Air AC/Heat setup in their car? I want to bypass the old vacuum setup and go with a Vintage Air Gen 2 model. Before I get started, does anyone have any experience with this? (Which model to go with, do’s and dont’s, etc.) It looks pretty involved. Any and all info/pics would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Who rebuilds original AC accumulator dryers for 1964 Cadillac? I have been on Classic auto air in Tampa FL wait list for over a year , There is one on Old air products web site that looks very similar to the original # 21-4214A but states it fits 1962 Gm cars, The one recommended for a 1964 Cadillac is half the length 21-4215A What is everyone using ? I would prefer to be as original as possible. Thanks

My son, unbeknownst to me, had all three of the horns on our 1963 Eldorado completely restored. We had recently added the Eldorado trumpet horn to the two standard horns and the sound was not very good... we had heard good ones so we knew something was not right... but there was not much we could do to get better sound from the 3 horns.
There is a restoration service called The Horn Works who my son…
