It’s been over three years since I had my (then just purchased) car towed for the first time and it has been a nightmare ever since.
But I can finally say: it is back home and I did my first 2h drive around the neighborhood today, since humidity was down for a change.

While I have great products to clean and maintain my leather I was wondering what you all are using for the rest of the interior (e.g. the dash) and the exterior. I don’t want to go at it with anything to harsh.

Thanks and looking forward to driving finally.

Daniela,  That is absolutely fantastic! You have been through so much and glad you hung in there so you can enjoy your 63 Eldorado. Here is a throwback picture of you in that Eldorado from 2021! We will definitely have to do a full newsletter cover feature now that you have it on the road.

Hi Jason,

it’s been a ride.  lol Not sure if it is worth a cover feature but as soon as it’s cleaned up and I find a nice locationfor pictures we can do that.

btw - this is a pic frontage day I picked the car up from the last mechanic. Some street just the other side

Great picture!

Daniela,

This is really great news and congratulations!  Enjoy the ride - that's the best part.

Thank you!

As far as interior & exterior cleaning products you will get a variety of answers.

Personally, for exterior waxes I like Meguiar's Ultimate Liquid wax.

If  your car paint has road grime, oxidation, etc, and needs a good polishing wax I use Meguiar's Ultimate Compound first, then the Ultimate wax.

For interior vinyl, rubber and plastic I like

Mequiar's Ultimate Protectant

While you said you have leather products I will throw out that I like the Lexol products:

1963 RHS A/C kick panel - photos needed

Posted by SK on June 2, 2025 at 2:20pm 2 Comments

Could someone post front and back photos of the 1963 right-hand kick panel with A/C?

My car didn’t come with the original kick panels, so it's a bit of a mystery to me how I should cut the backing board and carpet to fit around the A/C.

Many thanks,

Edelbrock Carb Block off Plates

Posted by Chase on March 12, 2025 at 2:05pm 14 Comments

Hey guys,

I have installed the same Edelbrock carb and have done everything the same as Jason’s carb and intake project. In the spring and summer months the car starts, runs and idles great! In the fall and winter months on a cold start, the car starts awful and wants to die until it warms up. I have to keep my foot on the throttle until it warms up or it will idle just terrible and try to die. Once it’s warm, it runs fantastic! Whats going on here? I was thinking of removing the…
