I need a distributor hold down bracket for a 63 engine. Will the generic ones sold at the part stores for a Chevy engine work? I am also in need of the vacuum diagram for the HVAC system. Thanks

From memory it would be close..maybe a match but can't say for sure. If not I have a few dozen original ones and can sell it and the hold down bolt (if needed) for say a couple bucks + s/h. Just shoot me an email to jasonedge@nc.rr.com and let me know if you want it Priority shipping or regular 1st class.
Vacuum schematics for the AC/Heat are on the shop manual, and here on the website in this photo album: http://6364cadillac.ning.com/photo/albums/misc-vacuum-pictures
Here is a direct link to what I think you are looking for: https://api.ning.com/files/*sgMAQiTra3pJnUto5CogVd13Ub26dkvxmTYQIgESKMEYRuFy2C*7jv7iy7gdt*6r-mvYp-0aLb5069NdORjERfuVDDGp3ZQ/heatermpl.jpg
Thanks for getting back with me. I am interested in purchasing a hold down bracket. My info is: John C Fudala 1104 Sherry Ave Virginia Beach,VA 23464-1749. Let me know how much the shipping cost will be and I can send it to you. Would you happen to have a tail fin lens for a 63? Mine has a crack in the side. I received my car yesterday and have already ordered new hoses, belts, etc. Thanks again Jason.
I'll assume you don't need the bolt. Since you are 1 state away 1st class should get to you in 2 days so shipping would be $3 for a total of $5. You can send PayPal to jasonedge@nc.rr.com or check or money order to Jason Edge, 104 New Rand Rd, Garner, NC 27529.
I don't have the lens, but OPGI, USA Parts, or McVEys would be good sources for new reproduction...all listed on our Parts Suppliers page.
Do you have any valve covers?
Yep, Shoot me an email to jasonedge@nc.rr.com so we can talk offline.

Could someone post front and back photos of the 1963 right-hand kick panel with A/C?
My car didn’t come with the original kick panels, so it's a bit of a mystery to me how I should cut the backing board and carpet to fit around the A/C.
Many thanks,

Hey guys,
I have installed the same Edelbrock carb and have done everything the same as Jason’s carb and intake project. In the spring and summer months the car starts, runs and idles great! In the fall and winter months on a cold start, the car starts awful and wants to die until it warms up. I have to keep my foot on the throttle until it warms up or it will idle just terrible and try to die. Once it’s warm, it runs fantastic! Whats going on here? I was thinking of removing the…
