Parts and Help
I need a distributor hold down bracket for a 63 engine. Will the generic ones sold at the part stores for a Chevy engine work? I am also in need of the vacuum diagram for the HVAC system. Thanks

From memory it would be close..maybe a match but can't say for sure. If not I have a few dozen original ones and can sell it and the hold down bolt (if needed) for say a couple bucks + s/h. Thanks for getting back with me. I am interested in purchasing a hold down bracket. My info is: John C Fudala 1104 Sherry Ave Virginia Beach,VA 23464-1749. Let me know how much the shipping cost will be and I can send it to you. Would you happen to have a tail fin lens for a 63? Mine has a crack in the side. Could someone post front and back photos of the 1963 right-hand kick panel with A/C?
My car didn’t come with the original kick panels, so it's a bit of a mystery to me how I should cut the backing board and carpet to fit around the A/C.

Loud air moving sound within carb with cleaner removed

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?
