I have done the end cap modification and replaced the seal twice, after around 500 miles it starts to leak again, not as bad with the end cap modification,I have been getting the seal from caddy daddy.
can someone recommend a good reliable product as it is very frustrating your help would be greatly appreciated

Hi Phil,
Look on the HELP section of our website under Rear Main Seal Oil Leak Fix and drop down toward the bottom, after the recommended cap modification and double slotted main bearing. One of our members, Russ Austin, had a reply dated 11/19/24 about a reliable Kanter Rear Main Seal. He said it worked great and he is an asset to our Chapter as well. He even stated the part number. Hope this helps!

Hi Dennis
thanks will check it

I'm in the same dilemma with a leaking rear main seal after using the BEST Branded seal and I have a little information/confusion to add. As of April 2025 (at least) the seal that Caddy Daddy sells is the Best Brand BG3812. I called Rebuilders Choice and they have merged/been bought(?) by Kanter. They sell the RMS13329FEL seal. When I get mine, I will post pictures. I will make sure to do the cap modification and will use that seal and provide updates. I already have the Caddy Daddy seal and hope to have the other seal on Tuesday for some comparisons.
Hi Michael
that would be great as I’ve been checking out the Kanter seal as well
it would be good to know if it does the job as I hate doing things twice, as well as paying for the freight due to being in Australia can be pricey more than the cost of the seal
The seal from Kanter arrived on Sunday, a few days early, along with a fancy catalogue. Now I have both seals in hand, comes the decision of which to use. I will probably use the Kanter seal rms13329fel since I have already tried the Best seal 3812s with poor results, unless someone has better info.

Could someone post front and back photos of the 1963 right-hand kick panel with A/C?
My car didn’t come with the original kick panels, so it's a bit of a mystery to me how I should cut the backing board and carpet to fit around the A/C.
Many thanks,
-Samu

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?
