Sometimes when parting a car I run across that part that might be common to me if I have removed it 60 times, but maybe not so much to others and will post as a Trivia Question.

OK. Here goes one from the last parts car -  What is this part?

Can you give us a clue? The D shaped hole tells me something but I can't place this thing.

Between the gearbox and electric motor under the driver`s seat.

That would be correct.

Sorry for the delayed confirmation ... been at this little thing called the CLC Grand National:

Congrats to Matti for nailing this! It is the seat motor to transmission coupler. Unless you have your seat up and working on this item you may go the car's entire life and never know it is there!

So with that, ...  drum roll, please.......

Posted by Chase on March 12, 2025 at 2:05pm 14 Comments

Hey guys,

I have installed the same Edelbrock carb and have done everything the same as Jason’s carb and intake project. In the spring and summer months the car starts, runs and idles great! In the fall and winter months on a cold start, the car starts awful and wants to die until it warms up. I have to keep my foot on the throttle until it warms up or it will idle just terrible and try to die. Once it’s warm, it runs fantastic! Whats going on here? I was thinking of removing the…

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?
