Trivia #32 --> What Is It??

Here is another part I have seen many times but might not be familiar to many and will post up as our next trivia question.

So, looking at the pictures below ... WHAT IS IT?

OK. This trivia may need some hints:
- There are two of them
- Located in interior of the car
- Helps secure something.

I believe it’s the stud that hold the dash pad to the dash

BINGO! These are the small ball studs that screw into the two vertical legs of the dash pad (upper instrument panel cover), and push into metal clips on the dash to help hold it in place.  Of course pulled used after 60 years they are usually more of a rusty color. Here is one of a few I threw into the cadmium plating batch.
