Jason I think where you see the radio is where it goes on RHD conversions. there was also a white convertable RHD which I think I took pics of so will post them for comparison.
I see aftermarket radio...is this wherre one with an original would have been installed. I"m not sure what I'm seeing where the original cutouts whould have been?
Cees - yes aussie - show was at Hanging Rock, Victoria. you can see some old Aussie holdens in some of the pictures
thanks all. I have seen the pink caddy at a few shows. I think I have more pics of it so will post. Russ, I cant answer that but next time I see it I will let you know. I already know the owner. Looking under the bonnet is totally alien to the left hand drive. everything has been essetially butchered. Whilst this conversion is professional it does not look right for want of a better word.
It looks like a street where all the trees have been lopped - neat and tidy but not what I am used to seeing!
also they have retro fitted an air conditioning control out of a HJ Holden which apparently works but of course does not look right.
Jason I will get more pics of under the bonnet for you next time I see hiim out and about. where you see the radio, ignition key, AC controls, this is all where an Aussie Holden of the time would have them placed. the only thing that is still reversed is the gear selector.
Very Cool. I see the Elvis Wankel in the Pink Caddy.
It would be interesting to see steering gear box, trans gear shift and steering linkage, firewall layout, etc, It looks like the core chrome instrument cluster bezel is the same but speedo unit and fuel/temp cluster have swapped positions so the speedo is under the steering wheel. The lower unit looks like an after market radio went in where the AC controls wouuld have been and not sure what I'm seeing in the original radio position. On bottom the wiper switch and ignition switch move with same relative position leaving the ignition switch at the far right outside of dash that seems odd...on in that we are use to keying toward the middle to crank the car.

Could someone post front and back photos of the 1963 right-hand kick panel with A/C?
My car didn’t come with the original kick panels, so it's a bit of a mystery to me how I should cut the backing board and carpet to fit around the A/C.
Many thanks,
-Samu

Hey guys,
I have installed the same Edelbrock carb and have done everything the same as Jason’s carb and intake project. In the spring and summer months the car starts, runs and idles great! In the fall and winter months on a cold start, the car starts awful and wants to die until it warms up. I have to keep my foot on the throttle until it warms up or it will idle just terrible and try to die. Once it’s warm, it runs fantastic! Whats going on here? I was thinking of removing the…
