Last night I was installing the freshly cad plated inner fender to frame rear support brace rods and remembered how this has been often missing on the many parts cars I have brought in. The thing is they came with all 1964's (per Master Parts Book, and my 1st hand observation), but they were often removed to never be reinstalled over the years!
My other observation is that Cadillac really upped their support and bracing game in 1964!
While the 1963's had the smaller 5/16" brace rods in front of the radiator support dow to the lower bumper centers, the 1964's moved to a 3/8" diameter rod, and doubled up using a brace from rear of radiator support down to the frame via a cradle tie bracket, and this 2nd set of brace rods from inner fender to down frame just behind the front transmission crossmembers. Basically 2 smaller 5/16" rods to 4 larger 3/8" rods. They were definitely stiffening up the front end.
So back to last night, I installed the one rod on my 1964 Coupe de Ville 'Dino', but will wait on the left side as I will be reinstalling power steering hoses and that cooler that mounts on the LH inner fender.. and the rod willg et in the way. I will say on the right side It Sure Looks Good! See pictures below.
So, curious as to how many of our 1964 Cadillac owners have these brace rods installed?
If you are like many, the predrilled holes are there but the rods are long gone!
I HAVE A FEW SETS!
These fit all 1964 Cadillacs and 1965 Series 75 (Limo).
The Set includes all the hardware seen in the last picture (a set packed and going to a customer next week), including the fasteners to attach to inner fender at top and frame at bottom. Again see picture installed on my RH fender for reference.
Price: I am the 18 piece set for $120 which drops to $90 with Chapter Discount. So if yours is missing get a set while they are still available. Email me at jasonedge64@outlook.com

Hi Jason,
I have to go to the garage and check on these rods. From memory, I don't believe I have them on my 64. I bet mine are also gone. I do have brace rods in front by the radiator support, but I don't remember having these in your picture. They look great!!! Dennis DiBari
Hi Jason,
I have these rods! Amazing! Not as pretty as yours though. I had to remove the one on the right side at the bottom, just disconnect it and move it out of the way, when I was removing the braided ground strap to clean it during my infamous starter problem. The one on the left side is a bit in the way of the little P/S cooler and hoses, I contorted while removing the cooler to clean it and paint it. Had to find those little hex head screws by feel.
Anyway, your rods are gorgeous!
Linda
Hi Linda,
I can't believe you have these rods on your Caddy!!!! Great news.
Dennis DiBari
Me either!!
First photo, lower left corner, where it's attached.
Second photo of left side, adjacent to master cylinder. These were works-in-progress photos, still some ugliness.

Hi Linda,
I saw your pictures of the inner fender brace rods. They look great. Now, I finally have a pair on my car as well thanks to Jason shipping them!
Dennis DiBari
Hi Dennis,
Glad you have a pair on the way! Yours will look great!
Linda
That is cool. Yes, these supply rods are often missing.

Could someone post front and back photos of the 1963 right-hand kick panel with A/C?
My car didn’t come with the original kick panels, so it's a bit of a mystery to me how I should cut the backing board and carpet to fit around the A/C.
Many thanks,
-Samu

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?
