Amazing things can happen at Car Shows.
As my wife and I were pulling into our regular spot at the local car show, our 1964 Classic Cadillac was immediately surrounded by several people. The method in which they swarmed the car was rather alarming, as they approached with such intensity. THAT IS MY OLD CAR shouted a very excited Man. Really said I- what is your name? Sure enough his name was on the Vehicle History and a long and interesting story was soon told. He owned our car from 1977 to 1987 and was able to fill in many blanks about the old girls past. His wife promised to e-mail me a photo of how the car looked when they had it- We hope she does as we find this to be so exciting. He went on to say how happy he was that I "saved her" from certain death and destruction. It took me all Winter to rebuild her mechanically but seeing the reaction on peoples faces is a most rewarding experience indeed.

Plenty of time, David, but as a CLC and Chapter member we have 12 wide open months next year to do a feature story with your car. Same for all other Chapter Members. Write up a story, includes some pictures and we will spotlight your car! Next month we will be getting back to wrapping up our look at each 1964 Body styles with a look at Mark Nichols 60 Special and 62 Series Coupe. Just not sure if we will combine or do these separately in two different months. Right now I'm taking a breather on the newsletters! LOL

That's fantastic that you reconnected with the previous owner. My wheels are turning thinking this might be a good feature story for a newsletter especially if you can get some pictures of the car with previous owner! Better yet, a picture of you both with the car would be great to go along with an article about your car!

Loud air moving sound within carb with cleaner removed

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?

Hey everyone, has anybody done a Vintage Air AC/Heat setup in their car? I want to bypass the old vacuum setup and go with a Vintage Air Gen 2 model. Before I get started, does anyone have any experience with this? (Which model to go with, do’s and dont’s, etc.) It looks pretty involved. Any and all info/pics would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Who rebuilds original AC accumulator dryers for 1964 Cadillac? I have been on Classic auto air in Tampa FL wait list for over a year , There is one on Old air products web site that looks very similar to the original # 21-4214A but states it fits 1962 Gm cars, The one recommended for a 1964 Cadillac is half the length 21-4215A What is everyone using ? I would prefer to be as original as possible. Thanks
'63 Eldorado trumpet horn + 2 standard horns restoration

My son, unbeknownst to me, had all three of the horns on our 1963 Eldorado completely restored. We had recently added the Eldorado trumpet horn to the two standard horns and the sound was not very good... we had heard good ones so we knew something was not right... but there was not much we could do to get better sound from the 3 horns.
