As noted in the 1963/64 Cadillac Chapter Website Membership Requirement Change discussion first posted on November 1, then broadcast via email several times, this site will be transitioning to a Members Only Site on January 1, 2024.

The details of  how this will work are as follows:

1) On January 1, Everyone will be suspended from the site, but your data and posts will remain intact.

2) I will use the Chapter Roster to manually reinstate as many member as I can. This may take a couple of days so be patient. Since some of you may use different usernames and emails than what I have on the roster I may miss a few of you. If any Chapter Member cannot get back in within 3 or 4 days, email me at jasonedge64@outlook.com  I think there is also a message option to contact me when trying to sign back in.

3) If not a member of the CLC your data will remain for two weeks and will then be deleted. So please check out the many benefits of membership at www.benefits.cadillaclasalleclub.org then join at www.join.cadillaclasalleclub.org

The website transition to a Chapter Members site has begun. All members were suspended and I am starting to go through and reinstate Chapter Members.  I have added 30 members and have over 300 to go so this will take some time.

If not a member of the CLC this would be the perfect time to join. Keep in mind that data for non-members will be deleted in two weeks.

I have reinstated about 1/2 the Chapter Members to the website. I will definitely be able to complete this by end of day tomorrow January 1. I had no real idea the % of Chapter member that had joined the site but so far we are tracking about 70% which is better than I would have guessed. If you have not been reinstated yet, hold tight.

Jason.

Happy New Year!

In our transition to a "members only" website, I first had to suspend all members then pick thru and reinstate Chapter Members. I have reinstated all Chapter members that I could match from the chapter roster back to the 1963/64 Cadillac Chapter Website at www.6364cadillac.com.

A few comments:

- If you were a 63/64 Cadillac Website member before the transition and cannot get back in let me know via email at jasonedge64@outlook.com. In reinstating members, I searched by both name and email address but could have missed someone.

-  When comparing to the national database I saw that a few of you have lapsed membership and you will need to bring your membership up to date before being added back to the website. I will reach out to each of you individually in the near future. If you know your membership has lapsed, you can go ahead and renew now and let me know.

- Some of you have duplicate memberships on the website with different usernames and emails. I suspect this is mainly due to members signing back up with newer emails. We can delete the old accounts or leave as is. As long as you are a CLC member in good standing it is fine to have more than one account. Just to note, if you do change your email you can go into the settings and update your email instead of signing up again.  I will also reach out to those of you with duplicate emails in the future.

- I added 291 members back to the website. Discounting a few duplicates, we have over 75% of our 368 Chapter Members as website members. That % is actually higher than I had expected but with almost 3000 non-members before, it was always difficult to gauge exactly how many Chapter members we had on the website. Now I know!

- If you have not joined the website, now is a great time to join!

Thanks for your patience. Now, let's go enjoy the New Year and those Cadillacs!

Invites were just sent to the 67 Chapter Members that have not signed up to the website, at least with the email I have on file. Any Chapter Member can also request to join on their end by coming to the site and clicking on Sign Up to join our website. If you have any questions email me at jasonedge64@outlook.com

Thanks for doing this! I’m excited for the changes to the site!

Thanks for the support. It was a technically easy transition and there will be many advantages and things I can do now that we are a members only site. Should have done this a long time ago.

Loud air moving sound within carb with cleaner removed

Posted by Dave Fehrle on March 23, 2024 at 3:23pm 8 Comments

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?

Vintage Air AC

Posted by Chase on March 21, 2024 at 5:55am 0 Comments

Hey everyone, has anybody done a Vintage Air AC/Heat setup in their car? I want to bypass the old vacuum setup and go with a Vintage Air Gen 2 model. Before I get started, does anyone have any experience with this? (Which model to go with, do’s and dont’s, etc.) It looks pretty involved. Any and all info/pics would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

accumulator dryer

Who rebuilds original AC  accumulator dryers for 1964 Cadillac? I have been on Classic auto air in Tampa FL wait list for over a year ,  There is one on Old air products web site that looks very similar to the original # 21-4214A but states it fits 1962 Gm cars, The one recommended for a 1964 Cadillac is half the length 21-4215A    What  is everyone using ? I would prefer to be as original as possible. Thanks
