Anyone ever experienced the emergency brake pedal not locking in the "engaged" position. My pedal just springs back up - it won't lock when I press it. Everything else works, meaning the brakes…Continue

"There may be fasteners still on the frame. If I remember correctly, the lines ran along the center of the car along the X frame member. Ahead of the differential on the frame there is a fitting that allowed for the lines to run to the left and right…"

"Thanks guys. Yeah, should have referred to it as the parking brake. Yep, when I first got the car the brakes didn't work so driving the car on and off the trailer I used the parking brake to stop the car. Once I rebuilt the brake system and had…"

"I pressed the pedal down this morning with the engine off and it stayed engaged. Once I started the car and put it in gear the E-brake popped up as it should. I just can't keep it engaged while thew car is running and parked for some reason."

Kurt replied to Dan Reed's discussion E-Brake
"Is that the case with the engine off? As you may know, the parking brake has a vacuum release that automatically releases the brake when it is not in Park or Neutral. The vacuum line comes from the Neutral safety switch. That said, the release…"

Tail Light Issue

I have an issue with my left side lower bulb in the bumper end housing portion. The bulb that operates the backup light. I can't get a bulb to operate although I do get 12V when I put my tester to that center pin inside the bulb housing. I even added some solder to the tip of the bulb contact to see if the buidup would help contact, but no go. The bulb does take a bit of effort to insert as if it is contacting the spring loaded pin.DanSee More

1963 RHS A/C kick panel - photos needed

Posted by SK on June 2, 2025 at 2:20pm 2 Comments

Could someone post front and back photos of the 1963 right-hand kick panel with A/C?

My car didn’t come with the original kick panels, so it's a bit of a mystery to me how I should cut the backing board and carpet to fit around the A/C.

Many thanks,

-Samu

Edelbrock Carb Block off Plates

Posted by Chase on March 12, 2025 at 2:05pm 14 Comments

Hey guys,

I have installed the same Edelbrock carb and have done everything the same as Jason’s carb and intake project. In the spring and summer months the car starts, runs and idles great! In the fall and winter months on a cold start, the car starts awful and wants to die until it warms up. I have to keep my foot on the throttle until it warms up or it will idle just terrible and try to die. Once it’s warm, it runs fantastic! Whats going on here? I was thinking of removing the…
