"Our freeze plugs were originally the concave steel type and are an odd size that can be hard to find.  '1 They are 31/64" diameter and there are, 6 in block and 2 in each cylinder head. My notes indicated Dorman 560-021, or…"

"Hi Sammy,      The freeze out plugs can be tough to get at along both sides of the block.  It depends if an exhaust manifold/exhaust is blocking it, or even the motor mounts can cause havoc.  If you can get access to it,…"

Loud air moving sound within carb with cleaner removed

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?
