hi all
a few techy questions for answers please
I have a new cancel cam to fit - how easy to remove steering wheel to fit the cam?
Power boot release (in glove box) = vacuum line missing. where could it be?
Trunk light out in dash cluster - how to replace
thanks
Comment
I just posted some pictures of the power trunk release/pull down components in this album: http://6364cadillac.ning.com/photo/albums/power-trunk-release-pull-...
You can see the indicator harness with green wire that run down left side of car body and under door sill(s) in top right of this picture of power trunk release/pull down compoents. On the ground side with the green wire it ends with a bullet connection that attaches to the pull down mechanism at the very back. You also have a bout a 3' red wire that taps into the dash harness. Check the bullet connection at back, check the two connections off the hot red wire, and of course check the bulb, and fuses.
ok so the light is grounded by the trunk opening? will recheck the grounding in the trunk then
yes power trunk - light was working - got to it seemed to be no voltage there
at the cluster
thanks
did all that - replaced bulb - still no light! no voltage getting to it. oh well not a big worry.
another question - i saw i think the control box for the auto headlights - looked like
valves in there - answers possibly another question - sentinal off - auto dip off - normal
beam goes on - normal ops - if I then hit the high beam it takes from cold about 20
seconds for the high beam to work then OK. is this the valves warming up?
cheers

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?

Hey everyone, has anybody done a Vintage Air AC/Heat setup in their car? I want to bypass the old vacuum setup and go with a Vintage Air Gen 2 model. Before I get started, does anyone have any experience with this? (Which model to go with, do’s and dont’s, etc.) It looks pretty involved. Any and all info/pics would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Who rebuilds original AC accumulator dryers for 1964 Cadillac? I have been on Classic auto air in Tampa FL wait list for over a year , There is one on Old air products web site that looks very similar to the original # 21-4214A but states it fits 1962 Gm cars, The one recommended for a 1964 Cadillac is half the length 21-4215A What is everyone using ? I would prefer to be as original as possible. Thanks

My son, unbeknownst to me, had all three of the horns on our 1963 Eldorado completely restored. We had recently added the Eldorado trumpet horn to the two standard horns and the sound was not very good... we had heard good ones so we knew something was not right... but there was not much we could do to get better sound from the 3 horns.
There is a restoration service called The Horn Works who my son…
