HI again,
I have the 63 cdv, with the flash assister on the dash,
My hi lo beams flash back and forth intermittently. sometimes they dont start flashing at all, sometimes they will just start flasihing on and off until I hit the button on the floor to get them to stop. sometimes they sound someone is down there hitting the floor button but the lights dont respond, you can hear the click but nothing happens, as if I have no control over that floor button. I have turned off the flash assister on the dash, even put black duct tape over the glass bulb in the event it was still picking something up. I pulled up the floor, and the single wire that plugs in on the floor seemed like it was loose, like the bayonet connection was not snug, so I changed all that, got a tight connection where it doesnt bounce, tightened the whole thing to the floor, but it still goes off on its on.
I tried looking at old threads but couldnt quite find an answer. I would like to just have it disconnected but shutting it off and blacking the gold didnt seem to help, so it must be somewhere else. it just seems to have. mind of its own, like there is a loose wire bouncing off somewhere and making intermittent contact to cause the high beam to erratically connect.
what is the best way to go here to figure out the inconsistency.
thanks

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?

Hey everyone, has anybody done a Vintage Air AC/Heat setup in their car? I want to bypass the old vacuum setup and go with a Vintage Air Gen 2 model. Before I get started, does anyone have any experience with this? (Which model to go with, do’s and dont’s, etc.) It looks pretty involved. Any and all info/pics would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Who rebuilds original AC accumulator dryers for 1964 Cadillac? I have been on Classic auto air in Tampa FL wait list for over a year , There is one on Old air products web site that looks very similar to the original # 21-4214A but states it fits 1962 Gm cars, The one recommended for a 1964 Cadillac is half the length 21-4215A What is everyone using ? I would prefer to be as original as possible. Thanks

My son, unbeknownst to me, had all three of the horns on our 1963 Eldorado completely restored. We had recently added the Eldorado trumpet horn to the two standard horns and the sound was not very good... we had heard good ones so we knew something was not right... but there was not much we could do to get better sound from the 3 horns.
There is a restoration service called The Horn Works who my son…
