Hello all, thought I would introduce myself. Tom Bahner here in Rossville Ks. Hope I'm posting this in the correct place, if not let me know. Absolutely love the looks of these old ledsleds.
Was happy to find this chapter as I have just become the owner of a 63 Sedan DeVille. She's pretty rough but being on a retired budget, was one I could afford that actually ran and drove. I thought about having it hauled the 3hr.trip home but decided to roll the dice and drive her home. PO changed the oil, tranny fluid, and topped everything off as part of the deal. Cruised home without a hiccup! What a fantastic drive, even in the state its in. Last tagged in 98.
Will start the process of bringing it back mechanically 1st, then work on the other stuff. Have lots of questions, so I hope you all don't get sick of me.
Looking forward to talking to you all.

Welcome to the group! Glad to hear you made the drive home safely. Good luck with the project, and keep us posted on the progress.

Could someone post front and back photos of the 1963 right-hand kick panel with A/C?
My car didn’t come with the original kick panels, so it's a bit of a mystery to me how I should cut the backing board and carpet to fit around the A/C.
Many thanks,
-Samu

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?
