Needing some electrical help. My old '63 Sedan DV electrical system is not in the greatest shape.

A current MUST is wipers, as they don't work at all.. I'm waiting on a shop manual but it will be a week or so before it arrives. I't appears the washer and wiper motors are one unit, I'm guessing at all this stuff. With the key on and the switch on, ,I'm getting 12v to one side of the 2 wire plug, which I assume is the washer and to the middle contact on the 3wire connector, which I assume is the washer. No other contacts ever get 12v when the switch is moved to other speeds. Do you think its a bad switch or motor?

Any suggestions on further isolating the problem is greatly appreciated.

Thanks      Tom B

Hi all, hope you all had a good Chrictmas.

Got some.good weather so I looked at th wiper motor. Took the washer cover off. The arm with the spring was really stuck. I didn't want to get to rough on the plastic gear and wasn't sure what else in there I should try and move. Don't want to break it if I can save it. Any suggestions appreciated.                                         On  a side note, got the antenna moving nicely by cleaning and lubing. Also got the passenger side  window moving, so at least had some success. Thanks. .             Tom b

1963 RHS A/C kick panel - photos needed

Posted by SK on June 2, 2025 at 2:20pm 2 Comments

Could someone post front and back photos of the 1963 right-hand kick panel with A/C?

My car didn’t come with the original kick panels, so it's a bit of a mystery to me how I should cut the backing board and carpet to fit around the A/C.

Many thanks,

-Samu

Loud air moving sound within carb with cleaner removed

Posted by Dave Fehrle on March 23, 2024 at 3:23pm 8 Comments

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?
