Waking up an old trumpet horn

I just purchased a used trumpet horn at the Hershey swap meet. I was missing the trumpet horn, but had the two smaller horns. The two smaller horns both worked fine. I cleaned the bracket and bolted the trumpet horn down tight where one of the other horns was and hooked the power wire up to it. I heard a very weak honk and then just the click of the relay. The horn sounds like it has some corrosion shaking around inside of it. I'd hate to have to rebuild it. Any suggestions for reviving it???

Comment by Chris Codd on October 9, 2014 at 9:18pm: Gonna have to sleep on this one. The adjustment screw won't budge. I'll let it sit over night with some PB blaster on it and let you know if I can get this thing working. The horn isn't giving any sign of life at the moment.

My car didn’t come with the original kick panels, so it's a bit of a mystery to me how I should cut the backing board and carpet to fit around the A/C.

Loud air moving sound within carb with cleaner removed

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?
